June Franzen, NP
June Franzen was born and raised on a farm in the
northeastern region of North Dakota. She attended the
University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and received a
Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. June worked in
several local hospitals before joining the nursing team at
Fargo Cass Public Health in Fargo, North Dakota.
In 1991, June attended the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Program in Torrance, California. Upon completion of the NP
Program, she returned to Fargo and continued to work in the
Family Planning Clinic at Fargo Cass Public Health as a
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner until 2000. In 2000, she
joined the staff at Hendrix Health Center on the campus of
Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota.
She earned a Master's Degree in Management from the
University of Mary in Fargo, North Dakota, in 2004.
June and her husband Dennis have two daughters; Emily is a
sophomore in college, and Sarah is a junior in high school.
June has desired to move to the desert southwest for about
20 years and is thrilled at the great opportunity to join
Dr. Ofori at the Mesquite Women's Clinic. Dennis and June
made their first trip to Mesquite in December 2007, and
thought the community was delightful and the surroundings
beautiful. During that visit, June literally 'dropped in' on
the staff at the Mesquite Women's Clinic to see if there
were any employment opportunities. Being a Women's Health
Nurse Practitioner, she thought the Mesquite Women's Clinic
would be a great place to start. "The rest is history. I
have never met a physician that shares my passion to serve
people like Dr. Ofori, and we seemed to hit it off right
away."
